Almost here.....
Today is Dec. 22, 2008. Christmas is HOURS away and I am kinda, sorta, almost, getting there.
I have told myself it is ok to scale back since the whole country seems to be doing it too. Convinced myself that cookie dough, if eaten while standing up contains no calories.
Given myself the ole pep talk of Why Yes, Virginia, Martha Stewart would be so proud.
Gotten over the fact that we DID get the exterior lights out of the attic, HOWEVER didn't exactly put them out on the house.....except my FABULOUS wreath which lites up and I made myself a few years ago, however you can't really see it from the street b/c the builder set my house crooked but I'm not bitter about that anymore.........
Prepared myself for the grocery store trip I've been putting off.......
and mentally pumped myself up up up for the annual driving around looking at Christmas lites w/my fam, who will be eating brownies in my car and Gary will have his must have eggnog..gag..and we will "OH! Wow! Look at that! What on earth? How'd they do that? I saw that last year. Imagine the electric bill! What does polar bears have to do w/Christmas? Anyone? Can we go to Braum's?" until my ADD kicks in and then its all downhill from there......
OK!
I wish all of you faithful readers who can't/won't/don'tknowhowto/refuse to get blog of your own a wonderful and blessed Christmas and eat lots of cookies and may the time you spend w/your crazy/disfunctional families remind you of how much you actually love them!!!!
PEACE-LOVE and EMPTY LAUNDRY BASKETS TO YOU ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

Bring on January!!
OK.....I saw a billboard today saying 9 days til Christmas. Great....not ready. Not even close.
Maybe I'm just getting old, but didn't we just have the 4th of July thing at church??
I am just not in the wrapping presents mood, bows on everything that moves, cookie dough everywhere.....wait....I can do the dough. I have scaled down our family Christmas gift wise this year and have realized maybe I should have been doing this all along. I think I just get this unreal vision in my head of how it all should be "this year" and then of course it never comes even close and uggghhhh.........
I really think this workin mama is just tired. and whiny. and has a sugar headache from the dough. and self loathing for eating the dough. No worries, I see my therapist tomorrow and she wil fix it all...and my nails...right Marla?! My son asked me tonight rather irritated too why couldn't I remember what he had said. My reply--no I didn't throw him from the moving car- I just said, if you knew how many people tell me things in one given day, you'd realize why I couldn't remember if you said 2 or 4. AYE-Yi-YI......other random tidbits:
Remember when I couldn't even say MySpace? Now I have a personal blog, a MySpace(that I still haven't gotten into) and NOW a Facebook page too. I think I about gave Laura a heartattack with that one.

Dear Santa
Dear Santa,
Let's not even start on the naughty or nice thing.....this year I'd like super-powers.
I wanna blink and the house be clean and laundry done. Got that? Good.
Next up is can you have a talk with the teachers-partically math teachers- about actually explaining all this math stuff while they have my kids at school so they don't come home and ask me?! For Pete's sake, didn't they get a degree in this anyhow? Check? Good.
Growing feet.....come on now....do you know what a pair of dance shoes costs these days?? You don't have to stunt their growth but just make the shoes last longer than a month, k? Good.
A little help getting this insurance biz off the ground would b nice, or a complete turn around in real estate would suffice. I'm not difficult ;)
Also, teacher's gifts...are they really neccessary? Considering I, er, I mean Brady has to reteach at least once a week.
I'd like all my favorite Christmas movies to come on in marathon style in the same Saturday.
I want nachos to be carb free.
And french fries. and Doritos. and Reece's.
AND let's not forget.........
above all, I'd like world peace.
Ok, I'll let you get to work on that and just holla at yo girl if you have any questions.

Voila!
Well, I must admit, I am a competitive person and since there's NO WAY I will ever keep up with my blogging as faithful as some-you know who you are :)--I decided I'd update my blog seasonally before you know who did! It only took me going back and forth between pages and reading it over and over....and trying out this one and that one....until I reached a happy medium!
Today I did laundry--since it wasn't my bday anymore, it's back to the daily grind. I also put up the family Christmas tree. Ahhh, memories........when I was a kid we always had one of those short trees and every now and then a real live tree. Being a smell sensitive person that I am, I really don't like the smell of a real tree....I know I can hear you now.....well, hang on cuz I can't stand the smell of coffee or fresh cut grass or leather.......I know, I know, I know......
Where was I....ah, Christmas trees. I had a "pretty tree" in our living room that had a theme and only certain ornaments went on it, then I had a "family tree" that one was all the kids stuff and every color and blinking light I could find.....I'm a blinker mixed w/still lites gal....I know this can bring marriages to a hault...to blink or not to blink.....but Gary's a blinker too so we're good.
Then I also had a tree that was just for fun....I know. tree overkill, but one year I was channeling Martha and got carried away........
Last year it seems we didn't repack so well for the attic.....er...we chucked it all in walmart sacks and flinggggg into the dark scary attic it went. Strange, but they didn't weather so well over the summer....go figure. So this year, the pretty tree is a hodge podge of everything that survived and maybe enough leftovers to complete the poodle tree--that's what we call it cuz it looks like 2 round balls on top of one another with a tree trunk----really its fabulous when decorated with all my moms Christopher Radko ornaments....ohhh, mother............was I supposed to give those back?? Anyhoooo......what's on your tree?? We have everything from Precious Moments to hand painted rulers each of my kids have made at school......Thank goodness for teachers and all those Christmas projects or I could have a naked tree!! I'm not a tinsel gal though, mainly cause I hate cleaning it all up.....stems from childhood...my dad was a tinsel guy.....EVERY strand had to be hand strung one by freakin one.....ever so perfectly......but my therapist says it doesn't affect me anymore.............and let's not even talk about the wrapping of presents!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I've got garland to hang everwhere...........
and to all a goodnight...........

One more down--MANY more to go...
Hellooooo...ahhhh..its been awhile! I do hope everybody had a most fabulous Thanksgiving and got to take a breather and just enjoy their family and friends! Today is 'Black Friday' some kind of big shoppin day...hmmm...I dunno. I was sleepin in while everybody else was going hogwild to get the bid deals.....yawnn...except for the text messages that came in at oh 5:36 AM....yes that's AM to wish me Happy Birthday!-Thanks Sherrie! But really you could have waited til oh 9:30ish.
Then about the time I go back to sleep....another text.....this time from Cindy P. same message.
SO, I am thankful for my faithful texting friends that think nuttin about waking me up when clearly I need my beauty sleep! Lots of anti wrinkle beauty sleep! LOL
Then my girls ever so quietly----y'all know they sounded like a herd of buffalo--made me breakfast..........and guess what they "made"? a breakfast burrito and tator tots from --where else--SONIC! Today I will milk this birthday thing as much as humanly possible........the kids can't fuss w/each other, I can't do laundry or dishes and somebody besides me will clean out the car!
So, today I heard the B.C.Clarks jingle.......its offically the holiday season!!
Let the cookie dough thaw and get out the Christmas lights!!

TAAA-DAAAAA!!!!!!!!!
Yea ME! I must express my pure joy in myself--not so proper I know--but I went to insurance school and took the state exam-not 1 but 2 exams--and PASSED!! I am now a bonafied Life, Accident & Health Insurance agent!!!!!!!!!! I'M SO EXCITED.........(insert happy dance here)
This all happened last week and ya'll thought I couldn't keep a secret!!
I will start Monday with Pennsylvania Life company. Now, I am not giving up real estate, but its been painfully slow, so I decided to broaden my horizon!!
I was saying to Gary, do you realize how many differnet things I've sold? Yep, he does, cuz he's the one always paying for my "new starter kit", enrollment fee, or in this case, state exams.
God love him!
Let's see, I've sold mens clothing, womens clothing, kids clothes, perfume, make-up,handbags,
kitchen tools, gourmet food mixes and real estate....and now insurance. Whewwww....it's a good thing I'm a talker, huh! I'll keep you posted as to how it goes...I'll be a real estate/insurance guru--it'll be great I'm sure :)
As far as random posts....Ms.B....have you not read the TITLE of my blog? LOL
Ciao for now.......
